I’ve lived in Cardiff for the past three years, studying Criminology and Sociology at Cardiff University, and after graduating this summer I am delighted to start my career with Cardiff Council and the three Universities. Throughout my time at University, I was lucky enough to be involved with the Student Volunteer Police Initiative, the Get It Out For Cardiff campaign and Cardiff Universities Raise and Give (RAG) Society so I already have insight into the key issues affecting the Cardiff community. I’m keen to further this work and create similar initiatives that ‘kill two birds with one stone’ by tackling issues such as litter and waste, whilst raising vital funds for charity and improving community relations.
My background and experience hopefully show that I am passionate about student welfare and making a difference to everyone within the community. Kieran has done a fantastic job improving community relations throughout Cardiff already. I am very excited to take the new Cardiff Student Community Plan forward and have many ideas of how we can do that. I am confident that by working together we can improve the quality of life for everyone living, working or studying within our Cardiff community.
